Alex Straton

Alex Straton is an Executive Director who leads Morgan Stanley’s North America Softlines Retail & Brands franchise. Her coverage spans Specialty Retail, Off-Price Retail, Department Store, & Branded Footwear & Apparel stocks.

She began her career at Morgan Stanley in Equity Capital Markets, covering Consumer & Retail companies. Following that role, Alex was selected by firm management for the Institutional Securities Group Associate Rotational Program. In that program, she spent time in both Consumer & Retail Investment Banking as well as Autos & Shared Mobility Equity Research. Alex earned a BSc in Economics & a BA in Spanish from Duke University in 2014, where she was also a member of the varsity women’s soccer team.
