Emily Erusha-Hilleque

Emily Erusha-Hilleque joined Macy’s in March of 2022 to lead the Macy’s Private Brand Design, Trend, Textile, and Brand Innovation Teams. In this role, she is responsible for leading the nameplate’s private brand portfolio, including the  Apparel, Shoes, Jewelry, Handbags, and Home design teams, the trend research and forecasting team, as well as, drive the private brands strategy and brand innovation function in partnership with Macy’s Merchandising and Sourcing teams.  Over the past 2 years, Emily and her team have built a foundation for growth in private brands, industry-leading teams of experts across functions, and have successfully reimagined, refreshed, and created over 25 brand DNA’s and original design principles.  This positions Macy’s for outsized future sales growth, margin gains, customer acquisition and retention, as well as, a modernized and relevant product offering that will complement the strong National brand portfolio.

Prior to joining Macy’s, Erusha-Hilleque held various positions at Target Corporation,  most recently served as the leader of Design for Ready-to-Wear’s  Young Contemporary Private Label Division, and all of Design Partnerships/Collaborations. Emily also held various leadership positions in Merchandising, Design, and Technical Design in Apparel, Handbags, Shoes, Jewelry, Intimates, Sleepwear, and Hosiery.

Emily originates from the Midwest, where she attended Iowa State University, and graduated with degrees from the Ivy college of Business in Marketing, and the Consumer Sciences college in Fashion Design, Merchandising and Production. Upon graduation, Emily attended the London College of Fashion, and entered the work force at Target Corporation. 

In addition to her work, Emily is on the Board of Directors for the University of Minnesota, an avid supporter of the Humane Society of the United States, as well as, the American Alzheimer Association of America.  During her downtime, she enjoys time at her home in Laguna Beach, CA, and currently resides in New York with her husband, Gordy, and 5-year old Daughter, Mimi.
